Picture too large

I'm not sure, I've never had a problem with this site, but all my stuff is antique too.:laughing7: What I did have to do before on a different site, was to crop the picture just a little. I'm not good with this stuff. Just saying what has worked for me in the past. :dontknow:

Maybe stand back further...

A picture copied off the internet. I just copied and pasted. With Windows 7 I don't really have a means to edit, unless someone can explain how with Win 7. It is a Legit picture, just too big.

I'm still using Vista, I just click on the third thing that looks like a picture or a tree, or whatever above. Then a window opens that says open from URL or computer. I click on from computer, then click Browse, Then when I find what file it's in, I click on it, then click on picture, then upload. :dontknow:

Sry, I'm not much help, and maybe your already way past what I mentioned above.:laughing7: Half the time I'm not even sure what I did, I just start clicking things until it works.:laughing7:

A picture off the internet?
Right click..save image as..it will now be in the downloads section.
Then use the insert image option above.

I tried to post a picture and got this.
The text that you have entered is too long (288305 characters). Please shorten it to 250000 characters long.
How do I make less characters?
I tried SEARCH.
It sounds more like your post was too long, not that the picture was too big... Had you written a long post to go with it.?

Use Paint, it will crop your pic. Right click over pic name and pick open with, then choose Paint. It's a MS editor for pic's and other stuff.

I've always had to reduce my picture sizes to 5 MB and under to be able to post them on Tnet.

I tried Picture with no good results. I'll try something later after the Storm.

I have Windows 7 and I use Paint program also....it works great to crop and resize pictures.
Ya might right click on the picture you are wanting to down load and click on properties, just to see how big it is. If it's too big, just resize it with Windows Paint....give it a try and tell me if that works!!

Can you give us a link to the pic? I believe you said it was on the internet, then we can try to post it (temporarily) and give you a hands on approach.

Upload it to PhotoBucket, set the upload option to "forum-size" (480X640...something close to that.)

I gotta add, I've seen this title (of your post) a few times, and for some reason, EVERY time I do this song pops into my head:

The Musics too Loud

I'm still all for just clicking on things until something works or locks up!:laughing7: Hammers work on everything except computers! It's just not fair!
