I hope this is the correct place.
I was hoping we could start a post with pics of tarnished items that ended up being Gold or silver? I have one to add I suspect was a yellow gold ring dipped white. So. If you found a tarnished PM item can you please tell us what it is, and if it was found in dirt, fresh/salt water etc. I'm hoping this will save some finds. When I first began digging I tossed 2 vermiel rings thinking they were plated junk rings.
