My 3rd time to the picnic grove was last week and I got 8 wheaties some change and 2 silver dimes, a 1939 Merc and a 1958 Rosie.
Today went back over there and the caretaker let me swing the coil again.
Today I took my time and it paid off. There is a lot of trash to deal with in this grove but eventually the keepers pop
out.
Persistence plays a major factor in finding the keepers there. Taking it slow and listening for the deep semi solid signals pays off. The quarter( 1940S ) was at least 6 inches deep and on it's side. The signal was good on 1 side and I got no signal on the return swing but it sounded good so I dug it. The war nickel ( 1943P ) was 6 inches deep too.
The gold ring ( 14kt ) was about 4 inches deep in some sand. Was I surprised when I saw the glint of gold.
It's my first gold ring for the year. It isn't that thick but it does have some small diamonds in it too. The person who lost this sure had a big finger.
In all the grove hasn't let me down this year nor has it in the past.
Also got some wheaties and a lot of junk...
I will keep being persistent and keep returning.
Thank For Looking. DPSB
