Picked up this bottle today

Looks to be a case gin bottle

Interesting I have never seen a clear case gin before. But that's one crude bottle.

Definitely a case gin.... An older one, with what looks like a pontil scar

Cleaned up a little

I got this because the top looks so old and the pontil is odd to. Ive never seen a clear one either

That cleaned up nice. Does that have a slight citron hew to it? And it has some real age to it with that pontil scar.

It almost looks like this bottle was used over and over and the top was repaired for use

Case gins in general are very crude bottles.there's no repairs it's just has a very messy applied lip. And for the most part these bottles were made in Europe. It's a nice bottle.

Definitely a case gin. Prob late 1800's. I have 2 myself in dark green.
