Looking the the enlarged picture, definitely a lady. The style of the shoe is key. High button shoes went out of style after W.W.I. I think its a little earlier than what Back said. I think it's from 1910 TO 1920ish...

Agree. Circa 1900. When it was scandalous for women to wear trousers... But they did it as a sign of rebellion and independence.
