Photo I'd help old actor

No clue who she is, but I think in this case, the photographer is where the value lies in this photograph. Hal Phyfe was a well-know photographer in his day, probably more well known then the subject in the case.

Looks like a picture of some bride before or after the wedding? 1930ish ?...Why do you think an actor.?? I'd say it's a female as that would be an actress.

Phye was one of many photographers that 'specialized' in Broadway performers in the day, so it would make sense. But I'm sure he did a wedding or two to keep the funds flowing. Like I said, the photographer is the point of interest in this case, not the subject.

It is a press photo so probably someone famous............or maybe someone had a expensive wedding and the news reported it

I see that now. So sure it's likely some actress. Hopefully someone has the tenacity to figure out who this is.
