after a short fight with my girlfriend made me seek refuge in the woods decided I would get my ace 250 and research my colonial site, swung and cleared it no beeps of anykind which was amazing since I dug about a thousand square nails, I went over to the other hill where theres just a few scattered rocks, swung around a few times, nothing, then I scanned the hole, pretty nice sound, dug around alittle a pewter spoon, and this beautiful thing, a good sight since I havent a good find in awhile. 20131230_170827.jpg

Beautiful coin. You don't see many of those dug in Kentucky.

Congrats...I love Spanish silver and they don't come in better shape then the one you found.

Happy hunting in 2014.

Hello friends!

It's very nice, but it looks it has not been in contact with land.....Do you have cleaned the coin?
Normally, if it has been lost for so long (over 200 years), it have encrusted land on the sides.

All my best,
Henry

That's a beauty. There's quite expensive in that condition.

Sweet reale, can't wait to find one myself!!!

@marveledindon I just rinsed it in water and cleaned with my finger, it came out at top of a hill with many bits just as clean.

Hello Clark, Oh many thanks for the explanation.
When you clean the silver with your hand, you must be very careful.

Generally scratches appear on its sides (caused by the friction of the land encrusted with your finger)
At first sight, maybe it cant be seen, but with a good magnifying glass one can be surprised

All mi best and congrats for your finds
