ROYERSFORD, Pa. (AP) β€” A suburban Philadelphia man has perhaps the most valuable ten-spot you'll ever see.

Thirty-nine-year-old Billy Baeder, of Royersford, owns a 1933 $10 silver certificate that an auctioneer says is worth at least a half-million dollars.

The bill bears an unusual inscription, "Payable in silver coin to bearer on demand," and has the serial number "A00000001A." It is perhaps the most valuable bill printed since 1929, when bills were shrunk to their current size.

Royersford man has $10 bill worth $500,000?

If the auctioneer says it's worth 1/2M, then "Billy" could offer to sell it to the auctioneer or have the auctioneer guarantee an auction price of at least (say) $350K. I believe that will quiet him up.
Yes, no doubt it has huge collector value, but 1/2 M?? IMO, give me a break !!
Don........

Yes I believe the $500.000. estimate is Best case scenario :laughing7:

I'll add (before I get jumped on) that in 2005 a $10 bill from 1879 called "$10 Refunding Certificate, Large Size" did sell for $425,000--so most any price is possible in the world of paper money.
Don....

I think it's worth $40.00 But I'd pay $50.00 to be nice

$500 K maybe plus if he gets it in the correct venue... Anyone here remember the auctions about 3-4 months ago on the west coast and the coins worth no more than 10K in a coin shop going for a mil + ???

Yes there are allot of people in this country who are not hurting for Money.

Hurting for things to be seen spending it on maybe, But they have it :unhappysmiley:

Retired People spend there money on overpriced Painted Quarters,
Billionares spend there money on overpriced collectable Money.

However in the case of Collectable Money,
Once the $500,000. is Bid & paid, it
goes in the books as a Legit Value.
even if it's 10 times more then the last person paid.
