observatory still there, though the landscape looks quite different now. there is mentioned a duck pond. the area in park is still called "the ducky" and although i've done some scouting haven't been able to find exact location. everyone throws coins in a pond for luck

Try Penn Pilot and see what you get. http://www.pennpilot.psu.edu/ . You can download a high resolution image from the site.

This is a low resolution of the observatory...don't see much that looks like a big ...or small pond. You might try checking old topos too to see if they show a small pond somewhere.

Maybe? The new pool is right next to your letter d . The building with the 4 sided roof in the aerial is still in the current Google Earth pics and the pool is just below it. But that looks a little rough in the aerial to be a pool. Maybe it was a filled in pond. Google Earth shows that area empty now. Cant figure out in a close up what the stacks are. 2 dark areas...Maybe wet?

I remember swimming in that pool...not sure which tho....was just in HS then. Do remember laying out on a hillside near the pool with some girl...it wasn't fenced in that I remember.

What looks like a path coming into
it on the North WEest Corner is the reason
I added Maybe Ballfield.
