I would love to hear some opinions about what exactly this thing is. I am sure that it is pewter and pretty old. One side is a spoon, not unlike ones that I have dug. The other side is more of a flat serving kinda thingy:dontknow: There are some letters stamped on the base of the flat end, looks like "URR". I am thinking 1700's pewter kitchenware??

What do you think it is?

Nice. Almost seems like some kind of a pharmacy spoon

You say it is silver and not pewter? I purchased this at an antique store this morning for $12.

It looks more silver than pewter, although it maybe a tombac type. The above ebay links are spot on and refer to 'BURR', therefore research this & see what metal they used.
