I got this yesterday at a spot where my friend had found a 1757 Escudo. there's been hundreds of flat buttons and other things come out of there few coins, cut silver, large pennies, and some other colonial goodies. There are five or six different foundations in the area they have been pushing the dirt more recently for construction. It was about 8 inches down, thought it was brass at first, but then realized it was pewter. We're thinking it was maybe a fort or station. My friend did the research from a while back and there was nothing there at that site. I forgot to mention that after we cleaned it up we put some melted wax on it to seal in the pewter so it wouldn't crumble.

That held up better than any of the ones I found. They always seem to be in pieces! [emoji2]

It's always a great find to dig one of those in one piece - WTG!!

Thank you all!

Awesome spoon recovery! :occasion14:
