Hi Everyone,
I originally posted this a week or so ago, but I've had time to take additional pictures of the detail on this piece. This was found behind an 1860 brick home that also has yielded a 1906 pocketwatch, a 1901 Barber Dime, and other relics from the late 1800's - early 1900's. This object may be pewter. It is 2 inches by 2 14 inches and appears to be broken in "half". There is fluting that appears to run from the middle of the piece outwards to the edge. The edge appears to have had some type of edging/decoration. In the middle you can see a definate floral pattern. It may also have had something attached to the "center" of the floral decoration. SOME BACKGROUND INFO: The Father or Grandfather of the original builder owner of this home/site deserted the British Army and joined the Americans near the end of the Revolutionary War.

This object has me stumped. It may pre-date the home itself. I am open to any and all suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to look at this piece. Best Wishes and Happy Hunting!

It looks like the top part of a Pewter spoon ladle handle :)
