New here, so hi everyone :)
Anyway...
Okay my Grandmother gave my this little pewter pin that she has had for a while (said she has had it for about 30 years) Unfortunatly she can't remember where she got it, and no one really seems to know much about it (except that it was a gift), so I came here to see if any of you might have seen anything like it before or might know something.
It's about the size of a quarter, made of stieff pewter with a pin and a clasp on the back below a loop for a necklace chain, rope, ribbon. I don't know if it can be seen in the picture but there is a tiny J beside the necklace loop. Below the pin clasp there is a copyright sign and MMA1977TCD I've googled that, but no results.

Probably not really valuable, and I don't plan on selling it, but I'd like to know a bit of where it came from if possible.

MMA would be Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Stieff made a lot of museum reproductions, and gift items as well... Colonial Williamsburg, Old Strubridge Village, Greenfield Museum, etc. etc.

P.S. the design is from a Medieval stone or wood carving... architectural.

Thanks for your help. :icon_thumright: But if it's a replication of a work that was in the MMA at one time, any idea what it's replicating? I've gotten on the Met's website, but their records on the webpage only go back to 1999.

Thanks you, everyone, going to check this off the list.
It was kinda insignificant, but I'm still happy that you all helped a bit.
