That's an awesome mug. Sure it's a canine? Kind of look likes a fox/wolf. It got some good age to it and is a very nice dug relic :sunny:

I think it's a British pewter tankard.

I believe it is a fox. Apparently, a popular motif. Do a Google search for 'fox pewter tankard'. You'll see plenty, though none exactly like this. I'm thinking mid to late 1800's for this one. But it is only a guess...

It looks like the type of pewter with a lot of lead in the alloy. It looks soft and bendable. I have a pewter crucifix that I easily bent in a U shape and back again.

I would venture that its from australia (local)...maybe late 1800 to early 1900's :coffee2:
