Pewter medal? and a mystery button

I found this pewter item in a box with my grandmothers items. Its thin with no markings on the back. The way the hunter is dressed appears to mid 19th century?



I also dug this button which I can't figure out. Its made of some hard material that has me stumped.







Any ideas on these items would be appreciated!

Well to me the button is also pewter the first item is a watch fob. HH

Good match Bramblefind! That hunter's Labrador sure looks more like a bear to me, but I guess that wouldn't work very well for retrieving waterfowl would it?
