I think Ben is right on - late 18th to early 19th C pewter fleur-de-lis button.



Date range is based on the large rectangular shoe buckle. By 1820 nobody was wearing those things.

Your pewter button find appears to be a variant of the Spanish Ferdinand VII buttons, featuring a script F7.

The link below shows a similar style "F7" in brass buttons, with a crown above. These are known to occasionally show up in pewter as well. Your example appears to have a large script F, small 7, and no crown.
