Pewter button from when/where?

Still no positive idea of what this button is. Appears to be a man bearing a standard in one hand. To the other side is either a musket or a lady kneeling? Letter beneath the figure could be RNC, RNO, BNC or BNO.

They appear to be block letters and I don't see block letters in the older pewter buttons I've googled up.

It's about 20mm in diameter and is plain on the back with a small shank base that is rectangular. Oldest activity in the area I found it is Native American, followed by church camps from the 1850's through the 1880's or so. I'd found bits of flaked chert there and one stone point and the remains of another as well.

Could we see a photo of the back? Also, it may be the photo, but don't rule out the possibility that there is a letter before the B or R.

Broke out the old Eyeclops toy and it does look like there may be the remains of an "A" before "RNO" under the figure. Here's a scan of the back and another shot of the front. Thanks for the help!
