I am visiting a friend, new to Treasurenet. PeteyGirl showed me very old pueblo foundations. She also showed me these petroglyphs. Easy to walk to and right off the road traversing the local National Park Service (West), Saguaro National Park. They're from the Hohokam people. These things are ALL OVER the American southwest. Different peoples have different themes in the art. Enjoy and maybe come on down to see!

Those are cool. It's really neat to visit those sites and let your mind travel back and wonder. Thanks for sharing them.

I enjoy visiting such sites.

Way cool!

Tnx, Terry. This may be the second time I've seen your pics with you in them. I have now been to three sites like this. All three were just up out of the wash. What about yours? ╦╦Ç

The ones pictured are near Congress, going out toward the Congress Gold Mine. The one that I'm kneeling next to is in the Bradshaw mountains, on the way to Humbug, from Lake Pleasant. :skullflag:

I'll be looking for the Congress ones and then taking a pic posed as you are...... yours taken then someone two hundred years older kneeling as you did, next to the stone. ╦╦Ç

Here is one of the half dozen structures in this portion of the Saguaro National Park near PeteyGirl's home. The day she showed me these, she suggested "ruins" to detect at. After seeing them, I commented at their age. We went around the perimeter barbed wire fence and one of the sun-bleached signs could still be read.... National Park Service. Detecting was immediately put out of mind. This particular 100 acres was also wilderness so even walking off-trail was also not allowed. Oh, well, more places around.

You may notice the distance from the camera...... stayed outside the wire fence this time, not wanting to tempt fate! ╦╦Ç
