Those are some cool finds. I don't think that's a petroglyph cause usually they're on a large panel of rock. Might be man made though.

Thanks! I have found a larger stone that caught my eye I have posted on here before. Feedback has been kinda mixed in the past with people I have spoken to...

Your pitted rock looks like an anvil stone. The point with the broken tip is a true arrow point so it’s not older than 1500 yrs.
Thanks! I believe it's a true arrow point as well. I've only found a couple of those but never a fully intact one yet. Quite a lot of other fully intact projectiles found on the property though. Thanks again!

Here are some of the finds from our property. It's a fairly new obsession that snagged me. Got my wife and kids hooked too lol

Depends on the part of the country you're in when it comes to petroglyphs or pictographs. Some people apparently didn't even mess with them. Over in Utah and the 4 Corners area that was a popular pastime it seems. In SWOK where I grew up, lots of artifacts, but I know of only one possible prehistoric petroglyph that's been found. You've got a pretty cool site there, keep looking!

Thanks! We're in Greenbrier Co, WV.
We enjoyed our stop at Fort Sill near Lawton, OK a couple years ago. Beautiful area!

Very nice finds. The "petroglyph" looks more like a nutting stone to me.

It looks like your in a hot spot if your finding all those on your property. If it was me, it would be time to get the mold board plow out for the field and the backhoe for the creek. Do some landscaping.

Thanks for sharing and keep us posted on what you find!

The lines on this large rock look a lot like plow scoring. You are definitely in a good area though. Lots of good finds in your other photos. 👍🏼

Good finds
What’s the chipped stone?
If this is the one you're asking about, I've been told that it looks like an unfinished axe. The size and weight definitely make me think axe or hand axe. It's definitely not chert or sandstone, maybe just river cobble?
This find was a lifelong memory for sure...found this one with my dad down in the apple trees. We were just talking and looked down and my foot was a few inches away from the stone sticking halfway out of the ground.

I’ve been told the wavy design is a sign of a preform. Would of been nice if finished
