On our 3 month trip across this wonderful nation, with Mesa Verde as our goal, Samantha, ( our GPS ) took us through Albquerque N.M.. We noticed that Petroglyph National Monument was near by. We found a Trailer park got set up rested . Next day we visited the park. We were surprised to find the park was surounded by a large community of houses. The Park is only a small mesa in midst these houses. We spent the greater part of the day enjoying the ancient indians and were pleased to not find any defacing or modern graffity. Here are some examples of what we saw.

Afternoon,

I'm glad you had a chance to visit there. I've been there twice myself and to Mesa Verde three times where I hiked a lot. Be sure to eat dinner at the Metate Room, the nice restaurant on site. The elk tenderloin is divine. Try the blue corn crab cakes...yummy!

I love that place! Let me know how you like it. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for showing,

spot
