I found this on one of my adventures and I dont have a clue what it is...Its 5"l long and 2" wide..

Interesting! Are there any characteristic tree rings showing on the large end of the piece? If there is any evidence of them it is quite possible that you have a piece of petrified wood.

I dont see any rings on it...

The one side clearly doesn't look petrified, in my opinion
the other side may have been exposed to high heat, where the sap boiled out and cooled off.
