very interesting for sure i never heard of it crystallizing before like that
 

beautiful! I'd recommend posting in the fossil forum, with a picture of the backside (non crystal) as well, then someone can tell you more. I've only had small pockets of crystals in my AZ petrified wood, so this looks really cool to me.
 

Where in East Texas? I'm in Kaufman county.
 

South hopkins county....have you found any in kaufman?

I have found petrified wood in Hardin county when i was a kid on my aunts land. None of it looks like what you have.
