I recently aquired a few Medals and this thing. I have been able to identify every one but this one.
Looks to be some sort of advertising token or award. Any help here would be greatly appriciated.

Thanx in advance, VPR

Peter Paul Mounds is a candy bar. Apparently the company ran a limerick contest back in 1931 and that was a prize...

It was from a candy named Mounds...

When rhyming for candy and treats,

You needent be Browing or Yeats.

The medal the Rat found,

For chocolate that's called "Mound",

Is a token what's spoken of eats.

it was in thirty one according to the award of merit token found

A candy bar token was dug.
The new owner said with a shrug:
"How can I find out
What this thing's about?"
If I knew, I'd surely feel smug.

I think I'll get myself a Mounds!

Packrats not one to tell lies
A token of brass will open some eyes

A Mounds in the thirty's was neat
for a nickle all the candy one could eat

Alas, today it's a buck ten and half the size.

On T-Net, this Rat of good steed,
showed us a Token he'd found in some weeds

He said it reads Mounds
we then announced what he'd found.

He was cheery and happy
so he showed it too his pappy.

He said, "son with good luck"
That will be worth a buck".
