Pet Peeve! If you sold it mark the danged thing sold.

I spend a whole lot of time browsing the For Sale forum here. It grows much larger by day of items still listed for sale, and I go two pages into the thread and and the item was already sold - but never marked as sold.

And to the Mods, could there be a separate forum where sold items could be listed, and removed from the For Sale forum?

The For Sale forum continues to grow, and the sold items not listed as sold continue to grow.

If we could have some resolution to this it would greatly streamline the process.

And members, it your item is sold already, could you please go in and mark it as sold?

This stuff is simple, when you post for sale the least you can do is go back and mark it as sold! It's the right thing to do, otherwise you're wasting other people's time. If you don't know how to do that, ask someone! This my original thread, at the top left of the posting screen there's a drop down menu titled Prefix.

I'm thinking there should be a fairly short software routine switch to immediately move that "Sold" item to a newly created "Sold" forum, without human intervention. In my thoughts it would take only a short script coding. But I've no idea of the programing behind this site. I did quite a bit of programming back when, but I gave up that path since I needed to survive on known skills.

The Sold items are very useful in estimating the value of items.

For some reason, I don't have the button to change it to SOLD as others have. Would also like to be able to modify the title after it is posted, but don't hold your breath.
