Yes, and I also do a series of other things to them. For instance, first the knife went through electrolysis, then it spent some time in a rock tumbler with gravel and vinegar. The it was neutralized to stop the action of the vinegar, dried, and then sealed with EverBright clear coat.

I really enjoy looking at the vintage historic finds that you unearth. In todays society one tends to forget exactly what handmade really means. The tools, harness rings, bowls, and such did not go through automated machinery back in the days gone by and are truly pieces of art.
