I usually avoid silver plated items but today at the TS this one I could not resist. A good portion of the silver has worn showing the copper as the base metal. My initial thought was at least I could scrap it for the copper. The maker marks were covered by the price tag. Inside the bottom of the base was inscribed Iran and an ID number that looks like what a museum uses to catalog its items.

Paid $5

Now I have to see if I can get the marks translated before I can value it. It seems quite old. Does anyone know Arabic?

Looks cool. Wish I could help translate. FYI...Iranians aka Persians typically do not speak Arabic. They speak Persian aka Farsi. However could be Iranian cataloged Arabic piece.
