Perfume For the Women... The Wife's Picks Last Weekend
Jessie is always with me on the weekends. She is the chief negotiator and best haggler around. I let her do all the dirty work! I just stand there and act stupid most of the time. lol.
As mentioned in another thread, Perfumes (and colognes) are great items to look for, I made over $750 on 2 bottles once that we paid a dollar each for. A lot of times when certain items are priced so low, we will just buy them all and research the value afterwards. Perfumes are one of those items.
Included in this lot is (all new) an Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds perfume gift set, value $40 all day long. A 1.7 oz bottle of the same value $20. A bottle of Clinique Aromatics Elixir, value $35-$40. 3 Waterford Crystal Ornaments from 1979,80,81, i'll wait till next season to get the best price on those, $20-$25 each. 2 unused Estee Lauder "lucidity" compacts, including a "Gold Alligator", value $40-$50 between the 2 of them. A new Brighton wallet- $10 quick resale, a small Digsmed Design Teak and cast iron candle holder, value $10-$15, a wannabe Whiting & Davis accordian purse, probably made in Hong Kong in the early 80's, worth maybe $10-$15. A few other assorted beaded change purses probably worth about $10 each. In the baggies are a red coral bead necklace, some antique Czech (so it says) glass beads in another and a couple of good sized carved cinnabar beads, value undetermined as of yet. She spent $40 on everything plus a few more items, so she did good. Here are the pics-

PS- The wife is very thrifty, those other items she purchased were paper plates and freezer bags and paper towels and such. All new, sealed, unopened. Something she always looks for at estate sales for our own use. These are one of the true bargains you can get at Estate sales. Those things cost an arm and a leg in the store. She probably got $60-$70 worth of goods for $5.
