Perfume Bottle Pendant - Sterling? - Garage Sale

I found this silver perfume bottle pendant in a free box at a garage sale! It was tarnished. I cleaned it up when I got home. I couldn't find any hallmarks on it. It looks to be hand wrought. It also looks to be sterling. This is going to sound crazy but I have read that sterling has a sweet metal smell to it than silver plate. I have handled a lot of sterling silver so i am betting that if this were to be tested it would be sterling. I am just wondering of the age of this pendant. Its 2 1/2 inches long. Its solid and heavy. Any info on how old this silver pendant might be would be great! Thanks..

Don't know about age. If I were going to test it though, I would file the tip of the dauber. That would be the least damaging spot.
