Found in a high school hunt today. End stamped CUBA. material looks silvery or chrome. Detected in discriminate mode, so could be either. Kind of a hollow cap piece, possibly for a pen? Side looks like it might have had a tiny setscrew as well. Didn't post a photo of the inside, but it has a raised, hollow, grooved center, that looks like it may have screwed onto something about the same diameter. I've never found one of these before, and don't recognize it at all.

Re: No clue.

Think I may have figured this one out. Looked carefully at the inside of the piece, and found a tiny portion of plastic inside the center. Then looked at the outside again, and found a pin-hole where I thought the setscrew might have been.

So ... suspected atomizer top (perfume spray top) and found CUBA is a perfume name.
