Underwoodb welcome to the forum. So are you going to tell us about this boat, and I hope you will include pictures. There are a more than a few of us that have boats that have been modified or are being modified for shipwreck salvage. Tell us about yours, and some of your plans for future modifications.

i HAVE POSTED SOME PICS ON THE NEW FIND SECTION OF THIS FORUM

I live about a mile from Chapman School. They take donated boats and sell them as a source of funds, and they have something there that may be of interest. It's a converted fiberglass cruiser maybe 50 feet long, with two new powder coated prop wash deflectors, and aluminum frame at the stern. sorry, don't know any details.

Talking about great recovery boats be sure to check out noviboatbrokers.com
It would cost $1.50 a mile to have them delivered but these boat are cheap considering what you get and their "make offer cause we REALLY want to sell it" policy can't be beat.

Plus these vessels have proven that they can handle the roughest seas.

since after the hurricanes here in florida around the daytona ney smyrna area, theres several abandonded large boats, the pic is of a aprox 35 foot houseboat thats sitting on a island about 10 feet from a canal and 100 foot from deep water, the boat can be had for free an alittle labor,it can be hualed out with a helicopter for less then 3 grand an dropped into deeper water,it can also be dug out underneath the boat an winched to the canal, but the canal is only 2 foot deep, the boat has a 3 foot draft so the canal will have to be blown to float it 100 foot to a channel.we found another boat in daytona its a 35 foot fiberglass cruiser,im gonna go an look at it tomorrow night, its sitting in 3 foot of water behind some womans house, she just wants it gone.the marine patrol an coast guard here in florida just wants these boats removed as they are a hazard to navigation in the waterways, they dont have the funds to have them removed,so with alittle effort on our part we can have some free boats to do with what we want.
