Percussion Caps?

I've found several of these at an old site. They're lead. They sort of look like caps, but I'm not sure. Anybody know? Thanks so much.

Not percussion caps used for a percussion muzzle loader.

My poor guess would be that your finds covered roofing nail heads.

Ahh, nail caps. Sure, that's definitely what they are, thank you. These were dug at an early site that has yielded musket balls and a couple late 1700's coins. I wasn't thinking roofing nails, but I guess there was either considerably later activity or some dumping. These would be late 1800's, right?
