Peralta Canyon

Just read an interesting story about Peralta canyon in NM, two miners had been prospecting in lower Peralta canyon about eight miles southwest of Bland (now a ghost town) which was close to Cochiti,anyway they found a hidden mine on a steep slope, that night an indian came to thier camp and very adamently insisted that they leave the area which they did, Never to return.
If the indian wanted them to leave I wonder if the mine was sealed by the indians, Im sure it was.
Might be worth checking out if you live in that area.

Yea I believe the article referred to Santa Fe, I don't live in that area wished I did, gold country.
This was supposed to have taken place about the time of the Spanish American War.
Maybe someone in that area might want to go exploring, I mean go hiking
