Penny signal.... What the???

So I went to the picnic ground I had good luck at last weekend today. The first half of the hunt wasnt producing so I headed to the area I had hit before. First good signal was sounding like a wheat and ringing in at an 81- 82 on the at gold. I popped the plug and out flew big silver. I literally said no bleeping way as I was staring at the outline of a silver half. Took a second to enjoy the moment and snap a pic then rechecked the hole. Found the wheat I thought was there but also a rusty nail and bottle cap(pictured). Im guessing thats why I only heard the wheat. Part of me is sad that I missed out on that sweet tone of a silver half that comes around only ounce in a blue moon but beggars can't be choosers. I'll take it! After that I managed to pull out another wheat followed by a nice little merc right before I had to call it a day. Great day all in all and plan on trying to squeek a few more goodies out of this site before the big freeze.

I reckon the trash masked the big silver? You can air test the Walker anytime now and hear the sweet tone! Nice score on the silvers and other stuff. The big chill is coming.

I remember my (one and only) Walker, like it was yesterday...a clear, high 91-92...omg it was pure bliss thru my headphones...I'd never dug one, but knowing it was special, I dug a W I D E berth and 5 inches down there she was, in all her beautiful, silver glory...too bad that meddling wheat got in the way!
