Penny I think?

Found a lot of wheat pennies in a box I had since high school and started looking at them all and found a disk that is a hair smaller than a regular penny but looks just like one with out any print on it. It is not worn off the piece is as smooth as a washer. Any idea? Is it possible that this missed the stamp all together?
