I was going through a bucket of pennies today and filling in some of the holes in my coin book when I finally came across an "S" penny. Why are they so hard to find in circulation?
Thanks guys....makes sense, I just couldn't understand why they weren't being circulated just as much as the others...I hadn't been paying much attention until I started seeing that all the blank spaces I needed to fill were "S".
Being here in Colorado almost all coins are D mint, even the old ones that have been in circulation a long time. My dad was in the military. As a kid, I'd always have him bring change home from an eastern trip, so I could pull out the P's. It seems like coins would scatter across the country, but they don't from my experience. Anyone else notice that?
