Tenderfoot
Found it many years ago metal detecting in New Jersey, and would love to find out what it is. Copper (?) numbered pendant with the emblem showing a shield with an enameled “B” in blue, supported by two rampant lions guarding it. Above the shield is a hand holding a glowing chalice/goblet. The number (17,309) is also enameled, but in black.
The back is stamped Grammes Allentown USA (L. F. Grammes & Sons, Inc. was founded in 1875 and made an amazing variety of metal products worldwide). It looks like the hole was enlarged, either on purpose or from wear.
The elaborate design (the enameled “B”, for instance) and the number that’s in the ten thousand, to me, seems like it’s from an old club with a lot of members.
It measures 1-3/8 inches H x 1-inch W and weighs .2 oz.
Thanks for any help!
