I have read about folks determining the sex of unborn babies using pendalum dowsing. I believe the pendalum was tied to the wrist and the had was held over the unborn baby. If the pendalum swung from fingers to elbow it was a boy and if it swung side to side it was a girl.

What about yes and no replies. Is there a set motion for the pendalum to swing or does this have to be determined with a test question?

I have never done this before or have never been exposed to it so be nice...lol

Any place to get more information on this type of dowsing?

Thanks.

It will vary from person to person. Generally, asking a question for a yes/no answer is a response similar to shaking your head for giving someone an answer. You nod your head for yes, back and forth from left to right to say no. Clockwise rotation can mean yes, counterclockwise no. Rotation by itself before swinging while map dowsing certainly does show intensity of signal. For map dowsing, hold the pendulum over a map. Move it around until it begins to swing or rotate. If rotating, move toward that direct a little more, it should then start swinging. Pinpoint by getting a cross-directional swing forming an X. It helps to place a small mark with a pen first. Come at the place from different directions, until pinpointed and marked X.

If you are asking questions on location, a pendulum may first swing in the direction of the treasure. In this case you should try walking in that direction.

I first ask the whole map or photo a few questions. If I get a positive answer I then divide the map into four sections. I ask each section the question that was positive for the whole map or photo. I then divide the positive section by four and start again. I do this until I eliminate all the sections except for one very small section. That is where what you are seeking is located….Art

I'll usually ask a question to start out. What I ask depends on what I'm scanning for, treasure (in general), caches, old foundations etc. I've used the section method before, in fact this winter to find lost truck keys. I asked about outside in the snow, in the house, garage. The pendulum responded yes for the garage. The concrete garage floor after finished had been cut with masonry saw blade into four sections. I got a yes for the section where the door goes into the house. There is an offset closet wall cuts into that section. When asking about the keys I was thinking of the section as a rectangle, which could include the closet. Well, keys where in the closet next to the outside wall.

It really depends if you have a specific target to search for or just to find what is there. I could see making sections for photo or close up map. Let's say you are hunting for something specific such as a cache, shipwreck, lost mine, etc. Narrow down the search area first before map dowsing, save some time.
