Sentrom Full Member Oct 18, 2012 231 94 Near Chicago Detector(s) used Pioneer EX Primary Interest: Metal Detecting Oct 27, 2014 #9 It looks to me like either a copper or bronze clad counterfeit winged horse Pegasus ancient coin or a copper or bronze clad piece of jewelry. It looks like the metal clad is coming away from the base, crinkling and deteriorating. The style of the Pegasus looks very close to a bronze coin (AE23 from Syracuse in Sicily, 344-336 BCE) Upvote 0
