Nice. Cool looking bottle too, matches the can. Here is an empty one that sold but I don't have a worthpoint subscription.

And the best information was this- The metal containers for bourbon were developed in Canada during prohibition to cut down on breakage during smuggling across the border to the United States. The United States government actually liked the idea for use in medicinal whiskey because it added another level of security to prevent tampering with the bottle (i.e. open the bottle and cut with neutral spirits and sell as pure whiskey). American Medicinal Spirits and Frankfort Distilleries produced some of their brands in the same type of package. The Oscar Getz Museum has several examples on display.

I will bet that is some smooth and delicious Hooch. Bottles under government supervision. I've got this picture in my head of some mean old man with horn Rim glasses and a pocket protector watching carefully with crossed arms.
