The wife and I are not hitting the yard sales very hard these days as we try to clear out existing inventory and make space for new stuff. However, I saw a listing for a warehouse sale. I have usually done pretty well with these so we went to that and then hit the nearby flea market after. I picked up a couple of things.

Below is a Chipper Jones figurine I found at the flea market. The box is missing but the piece itself is in perfect condition. I don't usually buy recently produced stuff like this. However, Jones recently retired and will almost certainly be a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee. That is why I even gave this a second look. When I saw that this is a numbered, limited edition I thought it might have potential. The asking price was only $3 so I snapped it up. There are other Legends of "The Diamond" pieces Chipper Jones pieces that have sold on ebay. They bring $10 - $20 but I didn't find any of these limited addition pieces. I may sit on this until he gets to the Hall of Fame when the prices may go up significantly. Maybe I can find the box in the meantime.

Maybe my best score was the packing peanuts below. I picked these up at the warehouse sale for $2 a bag. I was running short of peanuts so these came along at just the right time. To buy these retail would probably cost at least $50.

I also picked up a nice Vivitar tripod (sorry no pics yet) for $5 at an estate sale on the way home. I will give that to my daughter who is becoming a pretty good photographer.

That should last a while. That is a great price for peanuts. I usually get my peanuts for free or very cheap on craigslist.
They are insanely expensive at the stores.

Are they shelled or un shelled lol looks like you did alright

This is the first time I have paid for packing peanuts. I have often picked them up from CL or sometimes I find some people have left at the curb for the city to pick up with the trash. But... I was starting to run a little low, the price was cheap enough, and the quantity large enough to make it worth my while to buy them this time. Those 5 bags will probably last me 2 years. The same guy also had a bunch of large bags of those small, air-filled pillows but I don't use those as much and don't really have space to store them all so I let them be.

That's cheap on peanuts....I think probably more than 50 bucks too!
