So its been snowy and cold here for like forever! I havn't hunted since x-mas eve and its been pretty rough on me! I don't like to buy points since its lots funner (and cheaper) to just find my own. But just had to see what they had. Went to 3 pawn shops with none then the 4th had a bunch. There was about 40 flint pieces that were really nice with tags $85 on up to $1250 for a 10" blade. 20 or so axe heads and discodials. The girl working didn't know anything about them, but some were marked with some county in MO. One had a 1973 date on it. This is a pawn shop in Ottumwa, Southeast IowA I assume there from the area or MO. I bought these for 3.75 each for the small ones and $9 for the larger one which is 2 3/4" and a nice light pink color. I also like the bases of the 3 bottom ones, a concave and 2 square bases. What types have a square base like that? I have a couple other similar pieces but nothing whole.
There was a highly polished stone effigy thing with a $1700 price tag can't remember exactly what it was but only 5 or 6" long with wings or something. Also a polished granite blade-hook like thing like the letter J with two points out the back of it, about 12" long. Something like the hooks shown here but this one was hardstone and highly polished. http://www.lithiccastinglab.com/gallery-pages/duckrivermuseumdisplaylarge.htm
