Practicing social distancing, was at a remote colonial celler hole and dug this

First I thought it might be coin,
then maybe a late 19th cen. art nouveau furniture attachment, as I could see what appeared to be ladies profile

IMG_0971.jpg

I slowly removed the dirt, Wow I got a big surprise had no idea it had the eagle thing going on

IMG_0973.jpg

Maybe Patriotic Medal ? Political campaign medallion ???

who's your man?

IMG_0976.jpg

any help appreciated
no sign of attachment, back seems flat, and void of detail

Amergin, that is a neat find and good job on removing the dirt:icon_thumleft: Not sure what/who it is - but will Google. One thing though, there doesn't appear to be a hole to run a chain through, so it can be worn around the neck.

Looks like a young Andrew Jackson !

That was my first thought...

The state and county where found would ease the research burden considerably.

Otherwise were just shooting from the hip...
