pat # 122506 buckle?

found a small buckle today with this pat# on it, any ideas?? 122506

That sure looks like the ones that were on Army packs, life preservers, and a thousand other things in the 50's, long before the really cool plastic clips of today.

I'm pretty sure that is the patent date 12/25/06. There should be periods seperating the numbers.

Here's the patent showing it being used as a book strap buckle.
