Did several hunts this past week/end. Just some average finds. Hunted the 1108 Castle site today, started in this cellar hole and worked around the field on up to the top. That big hill in the middle is the closest way to where I wanted to go so I climbed it up to the ruins, much bigger than it looks. Detected going up the hill side but only found a few bottle caps and a few blank American M16 casings. 2.5 hours only gave up a handfull of square nails and an old hinge, that's how it goes here sometimes.
Finished the gold coin field, again just some average finds. These glass beads were found on the gold coin field. In my oppinion, the dates are Black=400 yrs, Yellow=300 yrs and the double Blue=700 yrs as the blue types were found in graves excavated by the Archies a few years ago in a nearby town. The beads have all been rolled to make them round, another clue to their age. HH, Mike
