I love what you can find out there. I read some interesting history on the heel plates. I can't believe I found 2 in the past few weeks. In two different towns. Over 20 years and haven't seen any. The amethyst pin was white, but I soaked it in mineral oil. A rare Lund metal doll!! I think there is some kind of hat piece. Happy Hunting!!

Congrats on the great finds !

I was told that the heel plates (like the one on the left in your photo) were worn by prostitutes.
They were called "Hearts In The Sand" heel plates.

I've found a few of those heart heels over the years.
Good job up there!
Thanks for sharing and more LUCK on future outings.

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

Nice selection of recoveries. Congrats.
Getting 2 heel plates in a week is notable for sure. Better than getting 2 in 10 yrs as I.
I tried to find a link that had a real great explanation regarding the heart heel plates.
As history sometimes does the true meaning of something is skewed to fit a certain narrative.

Thanks for the reply, my stance on the heel plates is that they were a little more decorative to add in selling the boots. I don't think there would be any patent on the design. It would be cool to trace them to a maker.
