Found the token in the Southern Colorado coal camps. Not in the Colorado token book, but probably from Trinidad. Maybe R. S. Shoes. I was excited to find the Job item but wish I knew what it went to. Found in Cripple Creek but there are no mines named JOB. If someone could I'd it that would be amazing. I've found a few other items from the Denver novelty company and it probably dates from 1900-1915. The pin would have went vertical so maybe for a hat. Love when old bottles roll out of a construction site!!! Thanks for looking, happy hunting!!

I can't think of what that JOB badge might mean. It does look like it could possibly be a hat badge. It's not a typical miners ID tag. An acronym for someone or something 🤔

Thanks, I appreciate the information!! It's slightly convex, it will look good in the case!

Nice assortment of history on the name/ID plate and the token.
Glass bottles are always a welcomed addition to any hunt.
Didn't find the token in the directory but it doesn't't mean it isn't there.
The bottom of the Token: Phone ***** RI
Rhode Island?

I did find the novelty company in an 1889 Denver directory book. Must have been important enough to have one made. Thanks for the posts maybe that token will clean up a little better. Maybe Rhode Island I know those phone numbers were funny back then!

I seem to recall that there is a site that has the phone number history.
Something like 4 digits was from x-x yr, 5 digits from x-x yr. As the wealth and growth the numbers increased.

Thanks,
that will be fun to research. I'm pretty sure it 159 RI. Appreciate the post!
