Pasco County, Fl.

One of my favorites ;D

Ray,

Not a problem, that is actually my site and I am new to this forum I am fifth generation from Pasco County and I am one of the last original pioneers left. I have spent the last 5 years or so doing nothing but "full time" research and try not to do anything without the all important documentation.

I also wanted to let some know that there are some really great MD sites in Pasco and Hernando Counties. Some of them are on private property but there are other thay lie right in the County owned right of ways. I have seen boxes of historic relics come from these sites, some really neat stuff too. One example is an old Woodsman of the World orginization stamp, which has the lodge number and orginization seal all in reverse for the so that it is forward when stamped on a document. I have also seen some great Plant System Railraod tags that have come off the old steam engine of the Plant Railroad.

Being a researcher and fith generation I guess I know where all the old town sites and significant spots would be. You know there is supposed to be a sinificant gold treasure here in Pasco that pre-dates the Civil War, can't say too much about this one but I have been researching it for a couple of years now as it seems not too many know about it. The stories have been told but they have been lost over the years and buried in the records, like most history.

As a result of seeing all the great relics found around here I decided to get started myself!!! I also know a lot of great sites in North Florida and have property up there, so I get to travel that way frequently!!!

Hope to chat with you guys soon and keep up on my history posting over at http://www.pascocemeteries.org (its FREE)
