Found this front end to a vintage toy fire engine complete with bell mounted on the hood. This was submerged 8 inches in a gravel creek bed. I made a scratch on the hood during recovery. Approximately 5 1/2 inches long and appears to be made of some type of metal alloy. A small amount of paint remains especially on the underside. Does anyone know the maker, year or further details on this early toy?

I think this may be it!

Creskol,
I think you solved it. Thanks for helping out. There is a tiny fragment of a wheel that was not pictured and it looks as though my small piece of the tire matches along with the distinctive bell and hood fin.
Congrats and Happy Hunting,

not sure this is solved, but real close
the fact that the image shows a cab only I wonder if its an articulated toy
Missing the second half, as in a trailer, bed and so on
doesn't look like its snapped or broken behind the seat / cab
Just a thought

It would have to have a rear set of wheels for that theory to work.
