🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Part of round buckle?

Can't seem to ID this and no one else I know can. It looks similar to some round buckles with center bar. It was found at 1870 church site if that helps. No threads so I figured not plumbing or auto. It's tapered on one side too.

Looks to be iron/steel….perhaps 1/2 of a race for a wheel bearing
