Dug this relic at a baseball field that's given up a couple of large cents. Not sure if it's that old, but you never know. It rang up in the mid-80's and is heavy for it's size. It's a silver colored metal where I nicked it with my digger. Maybe pewter or spelter?

It looks like part of a sundial to me, but I could be wrong. Any guesses to what it went to and how old would be appreciated.

It looks like pot metal to me. Possibly a broken hood ornament 1950's - ish.

Here's what I was thinking of. It's called an armillary sundial.
